Staffer
Simin Hassan is a 2026-27 staff writer. Hassan believes the Smoke Signal is a vital part of MSJ for its ability to communicate news efficiently and effectively, as well as its impact on the student body, from making certain clubs and groups feel seen to informing them of issues so students can be more aware. In addition to learning Japanese and playing guitar, she enjoys listening to new albums every day to expand her music taste.
