Luis He
Luis He hopes to start his senior year off on a high note with his campaign for Homecoming King. Both a strong leader and dedicated athlete, having participated in sports such as track and basketball in the past, he aims to use his community influence and involvement to make senior year a memorable one for his peers. He describes himself as naturally optimistic, loyal, and carefree. and loves listening to music and playing games outside of school, with his favorites including Fortnite and Marvel Rivals. He also enjoys running, being a member of Varsity Boys Track and Field at MSJ. Motivated by both his girlfriend’s suggestion and the prospect of winning a prize, He decided to run as Homecoming King for his senior year. “This only happens once, so I might as well give it a shot,” He said. He also emphasized his indifference to victory, instead adopting a more easygoing attitude toward the competition.
Yash Miryala
Homecoming King Candidate Yash Miryala involves himself in the MSJ community through many clubs and athletic initiatives. A member of DECA and MSJ Pickleball club, he has also played on the Varsity Boys Basketball and Boys Badminton teams for the past three years and danced in multiple airbands for the past four. In his free time, Miryala loves watching new TV shows and movies, spending time with close friends and family, listening to music, and reading books – in fact, Miryala enjoys supporting initiatives from local libraries, too, financing these monetarily when he can. Describing himself as curious, ambitious, and dedicated, Miryala hopes that as Homecoming King he can inspire greater happiness and school spirit amongst the student body. “Being King is like being the most influential person in school as a guy,” Miryala said. “So, obviously, I want to make people happy, be a cheerful and joyful guy, and make fun things.”
Samyak Patel

Patel serves as the current Vice President of MSJ Indian Student Association and MSJ Kids Against Hunger, as well as a member of Boys Basketball this year. Describing himself as a compassionate and curious person, Patel loves volunteering, finding it extremely rewarding to provide service to those who need it. Prahlad Vangeepuram Canchi
Homecoming King Candidate Prahlad Vangeepuram Canchi has made a lasting impact through his leadership and campus involvement. He currently serves as MSJ’s ASB Vice President, where he manages school clubs and runs club council meetings every Wednesday. Another testament to his involvement on campus is his role in Leadership 2 Activities Committee, where he helps organize events such as Homecoming, Prom, and school assemblies. Though a prominent figure on campus, Canchi has come out of his shell through his high school journey. “I used to really not like to talk to new people and be quite shy … but I was able to slowly overcome that through exposure in high school and get to the point where I am today,” Canchi said. Continuing to showcase his community involvement and passions, Canchi hosts sessions to teach science to younger children, is a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and participates in competitions for Indian classical music.
