Meet the Homecoming Court: Knights

Nathan Huffman

With a love for working out and playing for the MSJ Varsity Boys Soccer and Badminton teams, Nathan Huffman plans to use his athletic experience in his campaign for Homecoming Knight, believing that sports and exercise is more closely associated with knights than other roles in the court. Huffman encourages students to embrace school spirit and events with a carefree mindset. He looks to extend his passion for sports, which build spirit within the MSJ community, to the rest of the school through leadership. As a candidate for the Homecoming court, he wants to work to convince the upperclassmen to increase their attendance at MSJ’s spirit events, setting a precedent for underclassmen. After his friends motivated him to run for Homecoming Knight, Huffman believes that his enthusiastic, outgoing, and friendly personality will help him win the position.

Aarav Khandelwal

From being a captain of MSJ Ishaara to playing for Varsity Boys Baseball for four years, Homecoming Knight Candidate Aarav Khandelwal has shown a strong commitment to athletics and leadership. Around campus, Khandelwal is also actively involved in MSJ Relay for Life and MSJ Indian Student Association, which reflects his dedication to service and community engagement. In his free time, Khandelwal enjoys playing basketball, trying new food spots, and dancing with his friends. Through his role as Homecoming Knight, Khandelwal hopes to celebrate the diverse talents and cultures at MSJ while fostering school spirit and unity across campus. He also aims to inspire others to get involved in school activities and take pride in MSJ.

Ryan Kumar

Through his current campaign for Homecoming Knight, Ryan Kumar aims to share his love for sports with the rest of the MSJ community. A current competitive swimmer, Kumar is passionate about the sport — listing it as the primary of his two main hobbies, the latter being drawing. Aside from swimming for his club team, Kumar also plays for Varsity Boys Water Polo and Varsity Boys Swimming here at MSJ, and is currently a member of MSJ Ishaara. Describing himself as a happy, funny, and athletic person, Kumar expresses his hopes of increasing schoolwide interest in sports through greater  support of home games. “I definitely want to get more people involved in athletics at MSJ. For water polo games, there’s not usually a lot of people that show up for the game, so I want more people to get involved in that,” Kumar said.

Noah Lee

Varsity Boys Water Polo MVP Noah Lee aims to continue his athletic legacy through his campaign for 2025 Homecoming Knight. A four-year team member, Lee led the team in numbers for both assists and goals the previous season, solidifying himself as one of the most talented and dedicated players on the team. Describing himself as courageous, triumphant, and adventurous, Lee indulges in surprisingly calm activities: knitting, making matcha, and listening to Olivia Rodrigo. Lee, inspired by his friends to run, has approached his campaign with enthusiasm and little stress. “I think that you just [got to] go in with the mindset that it’s all for fun. It doesn’t matter if you win, so you just go all out,” Lee said.

Sriya Vintha

As a member of both Varsity Girls Volleyball and Varsity Track & Field, Homecoming Knight Candidate  Sriya Vintha’s friends encouraged her to run. Besides athletics, Vintha is the Vice President of Media within MSJ DECA and the Vice President of MSJ Psychology. Vintha is also the head of the Leadership 2 videography committee for the past two years, where she films videos for MSJ TV. Vintha also has a creative side, which she shows through her passion of photographing everything she sees, designing things like User Interface and User Experience, and sewing, often altering her own clothes to fit her the way she had in mind. If Vintha could change anything about MSJ, she would add an honorary football game for Homecoming to give people a feel of the meaning of Homecoming.
