Bowling for Scholarships

By: Hannah Shih

On March 16, MSJ participated in the Bowling for Scholars fundraiser at Hillman’s Cloverleaf
Family Bowl. Many schools in the local area participated, including Newark, ROP, and Robertson, though MSJ was the only school to enter two teams composed of five people. Each of the teachers and students who joined a team were required to get a flat combined pledge of fifty dollars, and were allowed to play two games at the event. Clothed in green team and Warband shirts, both the two teams from MSJ engaged in friendly competition with all the other teams who were involved in the fundraiser. One of MSJ team won with a combined score of 1141, narrowly beating Newark.
