On February 16, MSJ wrestlers Nikita Dhaliwal and Elias Khamisy both qualified for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Wrestling Championships in Bakersfield after placing 2nd in each of their weight divisions. With only the top three boys and top four girls in each weight class out of 182 schools from NCS advancing the State Championships, this was an exceptional accomplishment for the MSJ Wrestling team. The Smoke Signal interviewed the two athletes about their wrestling journey.
