MSJ alumni Kylan Nieh and Gagan Biyani shared their insights at Session 2 of TEDxMSJHS on Sunday afternoon. Founder of the public speaking and leadership education program Speak, Lead, Influence (SLI), Nieh is an incoming Senior at UC Berkeley. Sharing personal anecdotes about college decisions, competitive gymnastics, and his passion for teaching, Nieh emphasized the importance of learning from rejections and failures in life. Biyani, a co-founder of the online learning website Udemy, discussed his perception of success, urging students to form their own creative paths to success. After a question-and-answer session with Nieh and Biyani, the session concluded with the screening of a pre-recorded 2008 TED talk by Mike Rowe, television host of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs.
