Fremont Students Raise Money for Make-A-Wish

By: Jaynelle Gao

As a part of the Make-A-Wish campaign, students in Fremont wrote letters to Santa, which were then gathered, counted, and sent to Macy’s. For each letter, Macy’s donated $2 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. MSJ Make-A-Wish Club members and Advisor Lisa Ishimine organized MSJ’s contribution to the campaign: 888 letters. The entire school district of Fremont, California, including elementary, junior high, and high schools, wrote 41,711 letters, raised $83,422, and granted ten wishes.

Thank you to all for playing your part in making wishes come true.
