This year, MAZE Day is going paperless for the first time in MSJ history. Online registration is something that Principal Sandra Prairie has wanted to do since becoming principal. This past spring, two qualified parents, Mrs. Martha Kreeger and Mr. Forrest Tanaka, helped make this aspiration a reality when they built the website for the school and secured a transaction portal to ensure safety for parent donations to Mission Boosters, Mission Possible, and Parents of Universal Performers.
All the necessary forms, donation information, and “student life” order forms can be found online at msjhsmaze.org. The website is easy to navigate and will save not only students’ time by shortening the lines at MAZE Day, but also clerical time as well as the projected cost of packets for over 2200 students that are about 20 pages each. Prairie comments on the internet’s role in MSJ’s future development, “The intention is to not only have MAZE day online but we are developing other online resources to support both students and parents.”
Be sure to complete all the necessary forms on msjhsmaze.org, which will be up and available through October, and remember that MAZE Day is Tuesday, August 28 for students in grades 10 through 12 and Wednesday, August 29 for freshmen and new students.
